Fashion startups Listly, Kaleidoscope, The Cools, Carrie Hammer, and Bespoke Post, demoed their companies to a packed house on Monday; kicking-off the launch of our Future of Fashion: Emerging Startup Series, co-hosted by Projective Space and Fashion Digital Daily.
Panelists Faran Krenctil, digital director of NYLON Magazine; Steve Schlafman, principal VC at Lerer Ventures; and Christina Rinaldi, creative director of Prima Creative, brought insightful advice and feedback to the presenting group, focusing on the importance of aesthetics and creative first impressions, brand identity, and suggestions for monetization.
Attendees included fashion and media professionals from Vogue, Gilt Groupe, Steven Alan, Calvin Klein, The Daily Beast, HBO, Third Wave Fashion and Fashionably Marketing Me (FMM).
Afterwards, guests joined us for a networking mixer, with cocktails provided by BULLDOG Gin. The fashion set sipped on Bulldog Gimlets and London Lemonades, while enjoying music by DJ Egyptian Musk (AKA James Wahba, Projective Space founder).
