WHAT IS IT?
On Feb. 2nd and 3rd, Decoded Fashion will host a fashion hackathon - a competition in which top engineers will have 24-hours to create an app or startup that solves a pivotal industry problem. The top 3 teams will be introduced at NY Tech Meetup on Feb. 5th, and will also get to present their concept at New York Fashion Week.
WHAT DO THEY WIN?
The winner, selected by top fashion judges will receive $10,000 and the chance to have its app launched with the support of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
Hackathon judges include: Style.com’s editor, Dirk Standen, GAP’s Director of Global Digital & Social Media, Rachel Tipograph and Tumblr’s Fashion Evangelist, Valentine Uhovski. The 3 final teams will prepare for the finals with mentor and GILT founder, Kevin Ryan.
